The design of the physical space (or lack thereof)and busy schedule makes it extremely difficult to connect with colleagues.\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Our school values opportunities for leadership and encouraging professional and personal growth. \u00a0In particular, we have a group of teachers designated as learning leaders, who lead subject-specific teams such as English, Science, Math etc, and are a layer of leadership who are relied on for their ideas, input, and pulse on their team.\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;font-size: 10pt\"><em>This team is valuable to our organization.\u00a0<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.edwinno.com\/edwinno-publications\/my-writings\/plan-do-check-act\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-258 alignright lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/malat-webspace.royalroads.ca\/rru0004\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/50\/2018\/01\/Plan-do-Check-Act-continual-improvement.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"248\" height=\"273\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 248px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 248\/273;\" \/><\/a>Design\u00a0Principles:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif\"><b>Learn from mistakes, and move forward<br \/>\n<\/b><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif\">Listen and learn from ideas and situations from before. As le<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif\">arning happens, and other methods are trialed, many new ideas are considered and opportunities are presented. \u00a0Thinking, reflecting, and building or restructuring goals with purpose will bring clarity to move forward. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif\"><b>Voice &amp; Choice<br \/>\n<\/b><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif\"><strong><em>Voice<\/em>:<\/strong> Encouraging input and embracing ideas and suggestions empowers stakeholders to be apart of change\u2013adapting to create a better learning environment. Inclusivity is key, building relationships and trust to strengthen the process. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif\"><strong><em>Choice<\/em>:<\/strong> Feedback collected is collated to present viable options making it less overwhelming. Minimal selection when the time is of the essence will increase engagement rather than burden with possibility.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif\"><b>Optimism<br \/>\n<\/b><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif\">Optimism is what drives you forward. \u00a0When things are muddied or difficult, or when there is new ground to explore, the belief that your team will find solutions and move forward is essential. The continual effort in the team\u2019s common goal will boost engagement and collaboration. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif\"><b>Consistency is Crucial<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Using tech is a routine.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The digital environment will only sustain and grow if stakeholders engage habitually with the content and with each other in order to benefit the common good.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif\"><b>Make things Efficient<br \/>\n<\/b><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif\">The functionality of the platform must add to the positivity of the experience and enhance its perceived value.<br \/>\nTime is money: keep it simple.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif\"><b>Do you feel what we feel?<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Be comfortable being uncomfortable and yet, understand the complexities of others learning curve. Viewing the problem and process through multiple lenses enhances and clarifies context while diminishing preconceived ideas. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif\"><b>Cohesiveness<br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">You can be a critical friend but you cannot be a \u2018Debbie-Downer\u2019.
