{"id":334,"date":"2017-12-29T04:30:09","date_gmt":"2017-12-29T12:30:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/malat-webspace.royalroads.ca\/rru0020\/?p=334"},"modified":"2018-01-04T02:43:06","modified_gmt":"2018-01-04T10:43:06","slug":"design-thinking-in-the-real-world","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/malat-webspace.royalroads.ca\/rru0020\/design-thinking-in-the-real-world\/","title":{"rendered":"Design Thinking in the Real World"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As a followup to a previous post entitled \u201cA Set of Principles,\u201d I did locate the following a diagram in the book \u201cDesign Thinking\u201d by Meinel et al. (2011). The original diagram illustrates a visualization of the Design Thinking framework and how the process would work in a perfect world versus a real world (Meinel et al. 2011). I implemented this idea with a diagram that represents my original set of principles.<\/p>\n<p>I find that when I read about new theories or frameworks that deal with education and technology, that I am picturing this perfect new method that will help guide me to a flawless way of educating the learner. This is not the fact in real-life. Below, is a different take on Design Thinking, with the stages having different titles. The focus is how, in real life that education and technology are messy. Even the most seasoned of educators, designer, or developers may create what they think is the ultimate answer to education.
