Reviewing the presentation on copyright by Melanie Wrobel, Librarian at Royal Roads University, prompted me to consider not only the legal implications of using the works of others but how I want others to use my own writing and visual art works.<\/p>\n
My experience in creating online content has largely been visual concept art. In my experience, concept artists have strong online communities and a culture of sharing process and learning. As a concept art teacher and artist, I have seen how individuals who put themselves out there and share their work and process both make meaningful contributions to their communities and gain valuable networking opportunities.<\/p>\n
My primary goal in conducting research, at least in the near future, is to further my own learning. I am aware that the opportunity for this learning is a privilege, and one I wish to share with the larger community. In addition to the desire to make meaningful contributions, I am motivated to share my learning as a way of potentially increasing my own network.<\/p>\n
