To disseminate my research, I am considering a few options, with one being a major goal for me in this program.<\/p>\n
One would be to present my findings to my online learning meetup group in Vancouver. This would ensure that I could get direct feedback from colleagues through interactive, real-time delivery. Another option would be to include the research within an article proposed to the newsletter<\/a> for the Institute of Performance and Learning (I4PL). This way it could be disseminated to other instructional designers and learning and development professionals. I think both options of presenting to my meetup group and writing a I4PL article would be similar audiences for the research.<\/p>\n However, a big goal for me would be to be published in an academic journal. In looking for one, I did find a top ten list<\/a> of academic journals related to education and technology. I was hoping to find one that was more specific to instructional design, so I looked for a professional publication but could only find The Journal of Applied Instructional Design<\/a>.<\/p>\n This exercise showed me that I\u2019ll need to do some more research and ask more questions to define which publications I would be interested in submitting to.
