Our leadership training participants come from all over North America and from a variety of industries. They are looking for an educational experience that is stimulating and personally meaningful, and they would be well-served by a true Community of Inquiry.<\/p>\n

A Community of Inquiry, or CoI, is “a group of individuals who collaboratively engage in critical discourse and reflection to construct personal meaning and confirm mutual understanding” (Athabasca University, 2020*). In order to support the CoI, three presences must be well-developed in the learning environment: social presence, cognitive presence, and teaching presence (Garrison, D. R., Anderson, T., & Archer, W. (1999*). There are many way to develop and maintain these presences in a CoI community and I have chosen five to discuss under each category in my infographic. I think all of them are well-suited to my context.<\/p>\n
