As part of 523, we were asked to create a timeline of the history of educational technology for a chosen context. I chose pilot training simulator technology. I think having just finished the readings of activity 3 that were very biased toward the aspects of educational technology that never came to realization, it was interesting to present one that has had a profoundly positive impact. I decided to include some information on the economics of this technology as well, partially because the numbers are somewhat impressive, but also to show that even in a competitive economic environment, funding can be available when an innovation is proven to work.<\/p>\n
