Because there are no ads or in-app purchases, learners may focus on the content and game-play without distractions. The games may be played on iOS, Android, or desktops.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=rUPE1ej3pjI\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tiny Tap Youtube Channel<\/a>\u00a0contains video samples of interactive games and quizzes for all ages, and videos that provide insights into how and why games motivate learners and assist with memory retention.<\/p>\n<p>The Tiny Tap interface is geared towards the K-12 age group, but may be adapted for learning complex subjects as seen in this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=HvrHgLG6urs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">tutorial for how to create an interactive algebra lesson<\/a>\u00a0(3:47 minutes).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-222 alignright lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/malat-webspace.royalroads.ca\/rru0035\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/84\/2017\/10\/UnderstandingVideoGames-210x300.jpg\" alt=\"Understanding Video Games is a crucial guide for newcomers to video game studies and experienced game scholars alike. Video Games and Risks.<\/p>\n<p>Chapter 8 is of particular interest as the authors examine video games from the perspective of learning theories: behaviourism, cognitivism, and constructivism. Currently, most electronic &#8220;edutainment&#8221; games, where entertainment is used to serve education, are designed around behaviourist principles of &#8220;drill-and-practice&#8221; with rewards for choosing the correct answers.
