She is the founder and CEO of HealthChange\u00ae Australia and HealthChange\u00ae Associates.<\/p>\n<p>As a leading authority in a variety of fields Gale\u2019s published works include such works as <em>Health psychology meets coaching psychology in the practice of health coaching <\/em>(Gale, 2007) and <em>Health Coaching Facilitating Health Behavior Change for Chronic Condition Prevention and Self-Management<\/em> (Gale &amp; Skouteris, 2013). Just by reading these titles you can see a common trend around psychology, coaching, and health. Some of Gale\u2019s expertise rests in patient-centred clinical practice, coaching clinical practices in health service delivery, and applied health behaviour change. These aptitudes culminated into her organization HealthChange\u00ae Australia and HealthChange\u00ae Associates.<\/p>\n<p>HealthChange\u00ae Australia and HealthChange\u00ae Associates delivers training for clinical practices to help deliver more individualized patient-centred care. It helps healthcare professionals coach their patients through his\/her healthcare journey to better health outcomes. Gale, addresses in her speech at the 2012 Neuridynamics &amp; the Nuromatrix conference in Adelaide, Australia, why some patients do not adhere to the advice of their physicians and strategies toward better practices in meeting the patient where s\/he is to gain better commitment to healthy behaviour changes.<\/p>\n<p>This directly correlates with my field of primary healthcare, as patient-centred care is one of our main priorities.
