What constitutes a quality, over-arching research question can depend on the predominant methodology used in the study. Two tips to consider when developing a research question, regardless of methodology are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Use an open-ended question; or one that cannot be answered with a \u2018yes\u2019 or \u2018no\u2019 and<\/li>\n<li>Remain focused on one idea or phenomenon, but resist the urge to be too specific in shaping your question.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Remember that a research question can be (and often is) refined to be more specific as the research process unfolds.
