{"id":321,"date":"2020-06-12T00:50:46","date_gmt":"2020-06-12T07:50:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/malat-webspace.royalroads.ca\/rru0113\/?p=321"},"modified":"2020-06-12T00:50:46","modified_gmt":"2020-06-12T07:50:46","slug":"in-the-spirit-of-sharing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/malat-webspace.royalroads.ca\/rru0113\/in-the-spirit-of-sharing\/","title":{"rendered":"In the spirit of sharing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I was thinking about Lynda Barry (brilliant cartoonist, if you don&#8217;t know of her) and a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbc.ca\/radio\/q\/monday-nov-25-2019-lynda-barry-curtis-talwst-santiago-and-more-1.5369874\/cartoonist-lynda-barry-teaches-us-how-to-silence-our-inner-critic-and-draw-like-a-child-1.5369875\">conversation that she had with Tom Power on CBC.<\/a> She talked about the opportunity she had to write a book, and how hard it was to get any momentum with it. Finally she said to herself (and I&#8217;m paraphrasing), &#8220;what would this look like if <em>I<\/em> were to do it?&#8221; Then laughed to herself, because, of course she <em>was the one doing it<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Well. I kind of feel that way about this blog.<\/p>\n<p>In one of my other lives, I&#8217;m a visual note-taker and graphic recorder. My note-taking is not linear, and much as I love the structure of taking notes in a spreadsheet, I struggle with it.<\/p>\n<p>So, in the spirit of sharing, I offer some notes from this past course.
