I feel there has be a higher level of intentionality than in face-to-face learning, in order to create an online environment that encompasses a fulsome social, cognitive and teaching presence.<\/li>\n<li>Effective written communication is key to successful online facilitation. Word choice and tone of words go a long way in written and verbal communications.<\/li>\n<li>Having the right technology makes online facilitation much easier. Whether an instructor is new to online facilitation or a seasoned veteran, with different students, different subjects and different technologies come new challenges and successes. Thus, the same tactics that worked in one class to create a great digital facilitation experience may not work in another class.
