As a visitor than a resident,\u00a0 I like to keep my personal life private and only use online technologies such as Facebook, Instagram, and etc. to connect with family and close friends. I am also cautious and careful with using online technologies due to the increasing threats of cyber attacks.<\/p>\n<p>Although I am a quick learner with using online technologies, I have always considered myself not technologically savvy because of my infrequent use of online tools. However, after I did the technology mapping exercise, I realized that my motivation to use online technologies is to get things done rather than developing a network or relationship. \u00a0According to White and Le Cornu, \u201cvisitors see the web as primarily a set of tools which deliver or manipulate content. They are happy to accept the web as a useful conduit for interpersonal communication.\u201d (White and Le Cornu, 2011)<\/p>\n<p>I found a mapping exercise is a useful tool in understanding how we engage with digital technologies; and how our interaction with them could vary depending on our needs and objectives in using the web.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Reference<\/p>\n<p>White, D.
