This is still considered the gold-standard of evaluation because of its simplistic yet effective nature. Created by Dr. Don Kirkpatrick in the 1950s. The model is applied before, during and after training to both maximize and demonstrate training\u2019s value to the organization.<\/p>\n<p><em>Reaction \u2013<\/em> participants find the training favorable, engaging and relevant to their jobs.<br \/>\nIn the light of technology Reaction is by far the most relevant for adult learners If we were to focus purely on online delivery. We could use assessments, forums, chat or even video conferencing to gauge reaction. We will know the literacy and experience of your students very early in the delivery of the course.<br \/>\n<em>Learning<\/em> \u2013 participants acquire the intended knowledge, skills, attitude, confidence and commitment based on their participation.<br \/>\nWe could use online interviews or even phone \/ video interviews (dependent on the student\u2019s digital literacy) to bridge the gap in understanding the level of learning. Human engagement (albeit using technology) will always reduce the gap when dealing with adult learners participation.<br \/>\n<em>Behavior<\/em> \u2013 participants apply what they learned during training when they are back on the job<br \/>\nWe can take and record notes against the student\u2019s records. Have a predefined set of questions ready. We will be able to gauge very quickly how they\u2019re going.<br \/>\n<em>Results \u2013<\/em> The targeted outcomes occur as a result of the training and the support and accountability package<br \/>\n360-degree feedback is a tool that many businesses use. As a matter of fact, I use this tool before and after the training is conducted for the training efficacy purposes.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this year LinkedIn surveyed 500 L&amp;D professionals. One of the biggest challenges they face is showing the ROI of their learning solutions.
