Who knew in the year 2020 that the world would change as a Pandemic caused a significant disruption in education. Digital Pedagogy became the top priority of many educators as they tried to navigate the new normal of online teaching. As an educator, I was expected to research and create digital course content to educate, engage, and assess my students online. During my research, I came across a book called the\u00a0\u00a0Fourth Industrial Revolution<\/span><\/a>\u00a0by Klaus Schwab. Schwab defines the word “revolution” as denoting abrupt and radical changes with new technologies. The fourth revolution is described as the perfect storm of combining multiple technologies together. The book discusses the future of digital technology in 2030 and beyond. Schwab describes how the world of technology is advancing at a staggering rate. With artificial intelligence (AI) breakthroughs, autonomous vehicles, robotics, and the internet, it opens more digital pedagogy pathways. Although it is impossible to predict technology’s future, research has indicated that the advancement of (AI) is inevitable. (AI) is described as a computer that can “think” like a human, predict text, process information, answer questions, and make recommendations. (AI) has already replaced humans in some aspects, and as Stephen Hawking once said, “Artificial Intelligence could end mankind.” However, it is essential to remember that the development of it resides in people’s hands. Looking ahead to 2030 and the advancements in technology, it is evident that (AI) is gaining momentum in education, and humans have to adapt quickly.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
