{"id":335,"date":"2020-12-06T12:54:23","date_gmt":"2020-12-06T20:54:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/malat-webspace.royalroads.ca\/rru0152\/?p=335"},"modified":"2020-12-06T13:02:15","modified_gmt":"2020-12-06T21:02:15","slug":"unit-2-activity-1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/malat-webspace.royalroads.ca\/rru0152\/unit-2-activity-1\/","title":{"rendered":"UNIT 2: Activity 1"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><a href=\"https:\/\/malat-webspace.royalroads.ca\/rru0152\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/168\/2020\/12\/0e197772-c689-4e1c-bd31-59fed8cd8f73-1.pdf\">Cheryl-Haley&#8217;s Super Powers<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Over the last nine months, my teaching approach and the methodologies I use has changed to adapt to the &#8220;New Normal.&#8221; \u00a0I feel that most of my days are filled with putting out fires, changing lesson plans on the fly, and ensuring all of my students&#8217; learning styles are incorporated into my online lectures. \u00a0The adjustment from in-person to online has been difficult for everyone; Zoom has allowed me to connect with my students on a more personal level. \u00a0Previously I recorded lectures and then uploaded them to our learning platform. One major roadblock is wifi access and reliability for some of my students and myself. When the internet goes down, you have to resort to plan B mine is making short videos to explain topics or procedures and uploading them when the internet allows. \u00a0There has been some hesitation from others moving to an online learning environment, lacking knowledge of the learning platform, and resistance to learning something new.
