Rubric Reflection

Upon reflecting on the process of evaluating the QOCI rubric as a team, it has helped me cultivate new skills that I can foster professionally and personally. I have gained two learning moments that I wish to share:

First, what stood out the most for me was the realization that the rubric is a set of guidelines and not rules. Anstey & Watson (2018) echoed that not all rubric criteria are applicable to all tools.

Second, educational access is a crucial topic in current academic research (Stauber & Amaral, 2015). Thus, it is essential to invest in the process of making education accessible for all learners.

I am looking forward to reading, exploring, and working on building on my UDL – AODA for Faculty.
