I am a nurse and post-secondary educator working in Northern British Columbia, Canada. I have extensive nursing experience gained through clinical practice over 13 years, this includes: long-term care, complex care, physical rehabilitation, mental health, community health, acute care, maternity care, and emergency care. In the last 6 years I have transitioned to an educator role at Coast Mountain College in Terrace B.C. In this role I have instructed in the Health Care Aide and Access to Practical Nursing programs, developed curriculum for Hanan Medical College in China as part of an introduction to Canadian health care, and currently I am the coordinator of Practical Nursing programs as well the Health Department Cluster Chair. Recently I have begun to pursue a Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies through Royal Roads University and in 2022 completed a Provincial Instructor Diploma through Vancouver Community College.
In my personal life I am father to two strong, smart, beautiful children, a partner to an amazing woman, and a dog dad to Gary my big, dumb, lovable 120-pound lapdog. In my spare time I serve on the board of Terrace Peaks Gymnastics Club as the VP, play Dungeons and Dragons, collect and paint miniatures, cross stitch, play video games, hike, and co-produce a podcast called Comic Book Club House where I and a close friend review graphic novels for fun.
