Yep, we had 3 MALAT students and 1 internet troll…just kidding, a friend of mine who has used google hangouts joined in.
Seems like a valuable tool to collaborate for small groups.

Just played around with google hangouts, talked a bit about some other online virtual collaboration tools. Google hangouts was pretty easy to use and you could share your screen, and I think you can video chat with up to ten people for free…only drawback was that it seemed there was no moderator setting so it could easily get convoluted with that many people participating.

Sorry I missed it, but had a conflicting meeting. I think it’s worth trying out, and if the moderation issue is too cumbersome, we can look elsewhere.
