In this answer and question session, Dr. George Veletsianos brought up several important aspects with regard to the research question and research process.
One of the biggest take-away for me was the fact that research methodology is tied to the type of questions, and often requires overlapping processes. One of the critical aspects of his process is his research agenda, which is defined by his personal interests in human experiences. It was interesting to learn that there is no right or wrong approach to answer the research question(s), and there are no limits.
Furthermore, he used the analogy of an onion, with the research question is in the innermost layer of the onion. To peel each layer to get to the core will require processes such as searching for literature on the topic, look for related work from others, their questions, methods, and findings.
Lastly, I appreciated that even Dr. George Veletsianos thought that it is difficult to talk and look at the chat at the same time!
