I first stumbled upon Dr. Britt Andreatta and her work during the online Learner Engagement Summit. Britt presented on the neuroscience of learning, and I thoroughly enjoyed her presentation and thought it was well prepared and informative. I then looked up her LinkedIn and connected with her there. Britt is the CEO of Brain Aware Training (Andreatta, 2022). She has an extensive website that includes a blog and descriptions of her books, Wired to Grow, Wired to Resist, and Wired to Connect. “Dr. Britt Andreatta is an internationally-recognized thought leader who creates brain science-based solutions for today’s challenges” (About Britt Andreatta, 2022).
I chose Britt because she contributes her “background in leadership, neuroscience, and psychology” to learners through technology (About Britt Andreatta, 2022). She has over 10 million worldwide views for her online courses (Sides, 2021). For example, on LinkedIn Learning she has courses on learning, teams, and leadership. She has also contributed to LinkedIn Learning (formerly Lynda.com) as their former CLO (Andreatta, 2022). She also shares teachings on her blog, Twitter account, and LinkedIn from which followers can learn. Her books are available on e-readers like the Kindle, and Wired to Resist is available on Audible.
Her work is important to the field of learning and technology because she has been an integral part of a large online learning organization, she brings the field of brain science to learning and development and then shares those teachings on technological platforms, and she regularly consults with organizations on learning strategy.
