Starting in the MALAT program has been giving me all the feels of when I went backpacking in Thailand in 2015; more specifically when I went parasailing in Phuket. The feelings of excitement, not knowing what to expect, trying to anticipate which way the wind will take me and I won’t lie…a little bit of fear! Thailand allowed me to look at life through a different lens and I’m thrilled for the new perspectives I’ll gain in my experience at Royal Roads throughout the next two years.
Side note: “Same same but different” is an expression used in Thailand tourism and means “similar”.

I have also travelled around Thailand and know the “same same but different” expression… I was there more than 10 years before so good to know its still holding up!
