Educators have been impacted by digital learning environments as much as learners have. There are far more resources with far easier access in DLEs. They are not limited to textbooks and have access to materials in many different formats. They can also build their lessons in a more efficient manner since digital learning allows them to have access to materials from other instructors within their own institutions or even outside of it (Value of Digital Learning, 2015). They also save time while creating their lectures by implementing these resources.

They can manage time better because of the quick feedback they can get from their learners. This will give them the opportunity to identify students’ needs to emphasize on specific topics that need more review. DLEs enable them to have more collaborative lessons which are more learner-centered. Therefore, learners are more independent and this allows the educators to have more time to spend on providing feedback and managing their class (Pierson, 2015).

DLEs have changed the way educators build their lessons and deliver them, because of the resources that are available to them. As a result, they can use their time more efficiently while online rather than face-to-face traditional learning environments.
