My primary goal for wanting to research the impact technologies have on educators in K to 12 public schools is to best support my school district’s teachers in my role as Technology Innovation Coordinator. I have witnessed increased anxiety, stress, and technological resistance. According to casual conversations, this resistance is due to district implementation of new technologies, vendor updates and changes, and increased demands of teaching during a pandemic. In order to reach each cause, I wish to present my findings to the decision-makers in the district. My hope is that this research could determine a teacher-friendly approach to the implementation and use of technologies. Depending on the reception of my research, I could extend the dissemination of my findings during some of BC’s Provincial Specialists Associations (PSA) conferences, such as the Computer-Using Educators of BC (CUEBC) or the BC Technology Education Association (BCTEA.) To reach a country-wide or global academic audience, I may aim to have the work published in an academic journal. Potential journals for publication include the following with links to their submission requirements.

Great plan Kristin – both the more ‘internal’ audience (decision makers) and the external audience through journals and professional meetings.
