Our team, Khan Artists, chosen Khan Academy (KA) as the modality for our critical inquiry Assignment. We explored the modality by focusing on a “Basic HTML” course through KA, and that helped us to get a hands-on experience with the site and the way the courses were designed.
I have not been blogging much but I made sure to blog about what sounded interesting to me, and I could use my peers’ opinion on the topic to help me investigate more, for example, when I blogged about KA being an OER, I received amazing feedback from Dr. DeVries and my cohort. This helped me with my final paper.
I want to take this opportunity to thank my team and applaud how hard all of us worked together, there was never a lack of volunteers to take on tasks and I definitely learned from all my teammates.
I found it easier to stay on top of everything and communicate with my cohort through other means of communication rather than blogging throughout this course. For example, I used platforms such as WhatsApp, Slack, Google hangout, and email to communicate with my cohort and found these methods easy to use and more effective.
