I am a District Mentor Teacher in a British Columbia public school district. My portfolio consists of a few roles. I support teachers at the elementary, middle and secondary levels with inclusion. This means I assist with programming for diverse learners, mentoring new teachers, overseeing the implementation of CB-IEP’s, and the developing and facilitating of professional development for the district. I am also a district partner for POPFASD, Inclusion BC and a district liaison for Gifted Learning. Nice to be here
On a more personal side, I am a mother of two, who lives happily with her husband of 25 years. I am a houseplant enthusiast, collector of wind chimes, animal hoarder, a high school dropout, and a cancer survivor with an unapologetic yet mostly inappropriate sense of humour.
Also, I am an introvert hiding behind an extrovert’s mouth.
