I stumbled upon this music video late one night a few weeks ago… From the beautiful cinematography and haunting visuals, multiple meanings can be construed. For me, it’s that a new chapter in my life has begun to unfold; dynamic, scary, exhilarating and intriguing.

“Wait,” taken from the album ‘Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming’, is the final episode of the trilogy, the end point of the visual collaboration between M83 and Fleur & Manu that has been ongoing throughout 2012.

  1. Hi Marion,
Thanks for the introduction to this music group. I hadn’t heard of them before, and I’m always on the lookout for different music to share with friends, in particular with one friend as he and I have a challenge this month where each day or so, we post a link to a song that’s “new to me”.

I’m always curious to know how people discover music that’s new to them. And even more so, why they make the effort to do so, when it would be easier to lean on what’s familiar and comfortable, and therefore, safe for them.

Would you like to answer either of those?

    1. Hi Bart,
I enjoy falling down the occasional rabbit hole when I listen to music on YouTube, but honestly, I discover various genres of music or different artists simply through what I watch on TV, hear on the radio or through friends. I found “Wait” on YouTube while I was listening to The Irrepressibles; it came up as a suggestion. I’ve never been one to follow trends. If I like an artist, a song, a genre, I see what else is connected to these and explore. My musical tastes are quite diverse ranging from Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin, to ABBA and The Bee Gees, to Billie Eilish and now The Irrepressibles. I even enjoyed Skinny Puppy once upon a time ago. LOL What are your tastes in music?
