  1. Thanks so much for such an informative blog post, Lara!

The ADHD details were impactful. I have now added the topic to my list for professional development learning for instructors at my organization.

I also noticed the suggestions section highlighted ‘Flipped Classroom.’ This instructional approach is a favourite of mine. My students enjoyed when I had them read or review resources on their own before attending the class. When the students did arrive in the classroom, the day was filled with engaging activities that pertained to material they had previously learned on their own. They typically arrived keen to apply the knowledge they had just read or watched a video about. If you are looking to learn more on the subject, here is one of many resources on the subject that I recommend:

    1. Hi Marni. Thank you for the reflections and feedback. I think taking time to consider how ADHD can affect learning in teens and adults could be a very good use of time and professional development resources. For years I have worked with pre-school and elementary school aged children and ADHD is one of the most common conditions we see.

In terms of Flipped Classrooms, I was just introduced to the concept in this course and it’s on my list of items to look into a little more deeply. Thanks for the input and the resource – I have downloaded it. I wonder how effective flipped classrooms are for those learners with ADHD. Maybe something to look into!
