How might I disseminate my research once the research paper has been completed?
It would be great if it made it into a peer-reviewed, academic journal, so that it would carry more weight when referenced. Of everything mentioned in this blog post, being accepted into a journal is likely the most difficult and raises many questions: what research papers are journals looking for? What topics are more likely to be accepted? What could I do when planning or writing my research paper to increase the chances it will be accepted? Which journal would I want my paper to appear in? What requirements do these journals have? What writing style requirements would the journal have?
To ensure the information was conveyed locally, I’d like to present at some conferences. Educational Technology Users Group or Festival of Learning are both conferences that are likely amenable to this sort of content and are easily accessible.
I could write an article about my research paper that is intended for a website and submit it to some of the popular websites that cover this sort of content, and post it to my own website.
My LinkedIn profile and ResearchGate account would also be updated with links to the research paper.
