Dr. George Veletasianost

Unfortunately, due to my work schedule, I was not able to attend. Dr. George Veletasianost’s discussion live. I am very appreciative that the session was recorded and that I had the opportunity to watch it at a more convenient time. Dr. George Veletasianost is a member of the School of Education & Technology at Royal Roads University; he also teaches in the MALAT program. He is a Canada Research Chair in Innovative Learning and Technology, and the Commonwealth of Learning Chair in Flexible Learning. His Ph.D. is in curriculum and understanding how technology impacts teaching.

From his talk, the thing that stood out the most was, his discussion on research and using a quality question and using qualitative research. This to me is especially interesting as being in the health field, it is important to have a better understanding of what investors are looking for in regards to research and completing my thesis. He also mentioned that there is no right or wrong way to answer your research questions when you are on your quest to conduct research.  As I continue my journey in the MALAT program, I am looking forward to learning more about research, taking my time to ensure my research is valuble to my profession and aiding in moving my program I teach into the next level.
