As I write the first entry into my blog starting my MALAT program, I can’t help but feel self-conscious as this will represent the foundation for all posts moving forward. Like many, this is my first return to school in many years and although these courses will take place online, I can’t help but feel nervous as to how I will adapt my life around this new significant aspect.

This blog, as part of the MALAT program is described to be a ‘personal’ blog, and I intend to treat it as such. This is be my journal, for personal reflections, a collection space for interesting articles and tid-bits of information and perhaps a method of catharsis as the responsibilities of work, family, life and school all battle for time.

I suppose the one major feeling I have is a sense of urgency. Although, it’s day one I can’t help but feel like I’ve missed something or I need to have something done today. I suppose you cannot take on an endeavour like this without some amount of anxiety.
