About Amber

“The future of the world is in my classroom today.”

Ivan Welton Fitzwater

My name is Amber Donahue and I live, work, and raise my family in the traditional territories of the Treaty 7 Nations in Southern Alberta and the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3. I am proud to be a teacher and advocate of public education. My 17 years as a K-12 educator have taught me about the power of kindness, human connection, and critical thinking. I am interested in exploring technology’s impact on society and how education systems can rise to the challenge of preparing students for life in the digital age.
