Welcome to my blog!
My name is Paula Insell, and I am a passionate learner, creator, trainer, instructional designer, mother, daughter, sister, friend, peer, and partner.
Originating from Calgary, Alberta, I have the opportunity to live, work, and play on the traditional territories of the Treaty 7 regional in Southern Alberta, which includes the Blackfoot Confederacy, (comprising the Siksika, Piikani, and Kanaii First Nations), as well as the Tsuut’ina First Nation and the Stoney Nakoda (including the Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Wesley First Nations). Calgary is also home to the Metis Nation of Alberta, region 3.
I’ve had the opportunity to work in the ‘learning and education space’ in government, non-profit, energy/utilities, and other private industries. My experiences are broad, and have taught me that the more I know, the more I have to learn.
As part of my graduate studies journey, I will be updating this blog with assigned posts as well as my own personal musings related to my growth and learning. I am hoping to further my understanding of employee development and performance by using learning as a pipeline. Check back often for research and learnings related to this field.
