This self-reflective activity on my digital presence was an interesting experience for me, because it gave me the chance to review the effectiveness of my digital use, and how my use of technology impacts my digital identity.I believe the resident-visitor typology, developed by White & LeCornu (2011), speaks to a large audience in the social media world, as several online users will also be able to relate their experience and apply this typology to their use of several social media platforms differently.
This activity and reading questions like ” ‘What am I going there for?’, ‘What am I hoping to achieve?’, ‘Which place best serves my purpose?’… ‘Have I got the skills that I need?’” (White & LeCornu, 2011) made me realize that my frequency of use and my confidence of use of social media platforms are two important elements that can contribute to determining my social identity. Also, it made me think of which platforms I need to shift from visitor to resident in order to come closer to my digital identity goals.

I also feel that this typology would be relatable for many users and personally will also be reviewing my own use! Thanks for posting
