Thank you to our Team Open Education for providing us with knowledge of Open Educational Practices (OEP) for online facilitation. My knowledge of this space is limited given my experience is in corporate learning and development. I did appreciate that OEP is an important area for educators from this week’s facilitation. My initial understanding of OEP is that it was a cost-efficient space for best practices sharing for educators. However, I learned that there are more implications involved (i.e., licensing) as well as versatility and levels in the space. For instance, I consider myself as a beginner in the Open Educator Continuum and I doubt that I will have the opportunities to deepen my open practice because I am not educator. However, I am glad that I learned just enough to engage in the conversation with teachers and learners and ask them relevant questions about their contributions.
